Name Badges
Name Badges are wonderful if your guests don't know one another (and helpful especially after a few tastes of wine!). Stage an area where guests can fill out their name tags. Alternatively, prepare them for the guests in advance by using the downloadable MS Word documents below. These are formatted to print on Avery 8395 White Adhesive Name Badges, available at most office supply stores. The text and images can be edited for your occasion.
Wine Records
As suggested in our booklet, How to Host a Wine Tasting, it is a good idea to record the wines you are tasting on a sheet of paper. This is very important if guests are bringing wines to the party and, even more important, if it is a blind tasting. If you don't record the pertinent information about the wines from your guests, it may be difficult to later track down a particular wine for purchase. In a blind tasting, it is fun to place the completed list in an envelope and seal it so that it can be opened ceremoniously after the tasting. Having multiple copies would be ideal in the blind tasting so that your guests could take one home or, at least, copy down the pertinent information on their Tasting Rings or in their booklets.
